And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Littil Glow is the first egg to be claimed by the chimera, and is their most favored familiar. She can often be seen nestled in their dense mane, or flitting beside them as they prowl the night together. She is indeed 'littil', being tiny even for a pygmy. She is too small for any males to ever find suitable, but she doesn't care. It means she is free to spend as much time as she wants with her master, and that is all that matters to her.
