Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Cereliss has a morbid curiosity of all things, despite his silent but open distaste with everything living. Despite his strong feelings against the world he deeply wishes he wasn't the way he was but feels that he can do nothing to change himself for fear of betraying his own personality and past. His demeanor is more cold and distant than listless or hateful not that it makes a difference. Anti-social is anti-social whether he is crying inside, frowning outside, angry or lonely, Cereliss just can't get near anyone or anything. However, while he keeps loyalty in his contempt and distrust in all that surrounds him, he couldn't hurt a fly if it pierced him through the heart in cold blood, his sisters blood from her murder is fresh in his mind so he would willingly die to protect another from harm be they good or evil. Cereliss has never spoken a single word in his life and with the belief that his sister Sestiance is dead it's only worse, but she lives, and he does not know.
