When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The lake Kirikake lives in is rumored to be sacred, and so she is constantly seeing local knights and blacksmiths running around the shorelines with buckets. While it does amuse her that humans think forged swords cooled in the lake water will become magical, the attempts to steal said lake water have often disturbed her naps and hunting. To deal with this, Kirikake asked her friends to spread extra rumors, stating things like the water can only be taken on a certain day each month, and the water will only be magical if a dragon of the lake brings the water. This gives Kirikake plenty of forewarning of when to expect humans wanting the lake water, and the leeway to ignore interlopers if they are annoying. That said, Kirikake tries to be patient with the humans, so she also plays up the charade when she can. In particular, she likes adding small bits of light mana to the buckets when she brings humans their lake water, and seeing their faces when they realize the water is glowing.
