When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Procellia and her sister, Aquabi, were hatched by their mother in a peaceful lake away from all human contact. Her mother seemed calm at first, but proved to be emotionally unstable when her mate abandoned her. In her devastation, she abandoned her two hatchlings. Procellia and her sister were thrown into the world without any experience. They struggled to grow up and once the lake flooded badly, it seemed as if both hatchlings would die. Procellia and her sister were spared and survived the flood, then were taken into the Kalcea dragon Tribe and raised gently to full adulthood. Procellia takes after her mother's sensitivity a bit, though is much stronger. She will fight for her tribemates and is always there to lend a compassionate shoulder to lean on. Some dragons, including her concerned sister Aquabi, are afraid that Procellia was more shaken by their mother abandoning them that she lets on to.
