It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. She is gentle, kind, and never angry or impatient, which makes her wonderful with hatchlings. She likes to suck the juice out of pomegranates, her favorite food. Elana is secretly trying to change the ways of a vicious Hellfire dragon named Rage and already failed with a sly dragoness named LavaHeart. She likes to steer dragons to do good, even though it takes persistence. A stone dragon had hatched and she was delighted- at first. She could see that Plita would grow up a trouble maker, unless she pushed her to the good side before she matured. The task was carried out successfully and Plita is now good-natured adult dragoness,that loves Elana like a mother. Elana has tried to use her sorcery for egg birth with LavaHeart who threatened to kill her if she didn't help her. It was unsuccessful, possibly because Elana is inexperienced with it.
