Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Verthichai is a very proud young dragon. Proud of her species, proud of her abilities, proud that she was the first of gryphonluver's eggs that hatched, and proud that she was the first to become an adult. She creates many earthquakes, most of them too small to be felt, but occasionally she gets carried away. When this happens, Verthichai goes to Achuak Caesin for advice. She considers Achuak Caesin a very wise dragon, though Achuak is actually younger than Verthichai. Verthichai is trying to help Achuak Caesin overcome her shyness, but it's a slow process.
