Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Xaverri is a dragon in denial. Her family's name is Blaublut, but she refuses to be called that, instead sticking to simply "Xaverri." Due to her prowess in both mind and body, none of her family, not even her sire, Robin, have tried challenging her choice. She is, intriguingly, best friends with an insane dragon who says she's a Blaublut, when she really isn't. Perhaps it's because Xaverri recognizes that both she and Flickering Mists are determined to be someone they're not. Perhaps, because they both know they would take each others places in a heartbeat. No one knows.

Xaverri often takes in hatchlings, to offer them a freedom from their family. She doesn't keep them for long, just giving them a relief from family problems, but it's often appreciated, by both the young ones and their families. One of her other friends is Trouble of Dorkface, who helps her get hatchlings to open up to her words, and relax a bit.
