Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Moon is the most attractive dragonelle (meaning female dragon) in the caves of the LavaDome, all of the non-permanent mated dragons (meaning male dragon) of her cave just adore her. All but one love her, the prince. None of the males know this, but she studies a lot of drakin (dragon history and language), and the history and languages all around the world. She only wishes the prince knew this. She does life training for hatchlings, and travels world wide to find materials for dragons in different climates, to show how they survive there. Being a traveler makes her a fast and graceful flyer. She travels only at night or late dawn.
