Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Noriaki has an almost obsessive fascination with flowers. He is captivated by their delicateness and colors, but because of the chill that emanates from his body, he is unable to handle live blossoms without withering them instantly. As such, though he very rarely interacts with the rest of the Sylvain clan, he relies on trusted elder individuals to bring him certain plants from the other biomes.

Noriaki's living space in the higher peaks of the alpine mountains is filled with frozen specimens; he preserves flowers in ice so he can admire them for as long as he wishes. Lately he has attempted to sculpt their likeness using the ice he breathes, still lamenting that he cannot match the fragile perfection of nature.
