Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When the Prophet of Twilight picked up an egg sitting among the pebbles, she assumed she would be raising an ordinary green dragon. She assumed wrong. From a young age, Fern had the alarming habit of screaming at the stones she collected. Other dragons were alarmed at first, but soon grew accustomed to her screams echoing through the cavern tunnels.

As Fern matured, she never grew out of her habit. In fact, her behavior grew even worse as stone dragons soon found themselves the target of her senseless shouting. No one knows why exactly Fern screams at stones. Whenever she is questioned, the grumpy dragon lets out an angry cry.

"THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'VE DONE!"
