Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon has always been a bit smaller and weaker than others of his kind, so instead of playing with the other hatchlings he liked to slip away and hide somewhere close to the campfires of humans, and listen to the stories they told each other. He especially liked that legend where the fallen warriors are gathered in a great hall where they can eat and drink and be merry—he wouldn't mind losing all the play fights with his friends if he'd be rewarded with a feast! But those are childish fantasies of course. But they still made him who he is today; as he grew up, he decided that he wanted to be a hero like the ones in the tales, and if he couldn't be as strong, he could at least be as brave. He can often be seen approaching much stronger opponents, spreading his wings to look bigger, and scaring them away. And afterwards he sits down to a nice meal of algae.
