Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This male was born into a noble family, but he's never been thankful for it. Grandson of the High Queen of Connacht, he was assured a life of comfort and wealth... but never a path to the throne, as familial law dictates only Shimmerscales can hold the position. While most of his Lumina siblings peacefully accepted this decree, he held nothing but hatred for his shining brethren and their rule. Banquets turned sour in his mouth, gold lost its shine, and all the other pleasantries of a rich life ceased to matter, for it was the throne and the throne alone that he hungered for. Narcissistic beyond even the normal vanity of his breed, he thinks of nothing but of how he might obtain the crown, even if he has to kill half his family to do it...
