Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Picked up as an abandoned egg, his keeper, Sukari cared for him as she cared for the many other dragons she had known. Unfortunately, from the moment he had hatched, Sukari was nearly heartbroken to see that he had not hatched as healthy as the others, despite her care. Even after healing from the white dragons, it was feared that Fallen would never grow to be as healthy or strong as the others. Sukari had decided to cast a spell, freezing his growth, in hopes that he would at least recover safely.

To this day, Fallen flies nearly as strong as some of the full-grown dragons, and proudly stands among his fellow alternate blacks. Although sometimes, he is seen scurrying around with the cave's prankster, Missile in Tow, darting into cracks in the cave the full-growns are unable to enter.
