Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A tear ran down Roameo's cheek as he looked at his Jeweliet. He laid a paw on her still chest. She was beautiful, even dead. He remembered his moment of foreboding before he'd gone to her party, a feeling he should have listened to. If he had, he would have never met her. The two he'd slain would be alive. She would be alive. It was his fault. The levelheaded dragon that had fled the moment he saw Jeweliet vainly tried to challenge the impulsive dragon he'd become. Three lay dead now. It was his fault, and he was going to end it. He drank the poison that he'd bought for this purpose, feeling a numbness spread through him and closed his eyes, thinking of Jeweliet.

But the poison was weak and Roameo woke to see her alive and well, and he smiled, glad for a happy ending. The two were forced to leave to escape their families' feud, but they were together. He still believes he is responsible for what happened, and at night the ghosts of his victims haunt him for his crimes.
