Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. There was a dark night, dotted with stars. Oddly enough, part of the sky was moving, but it was streaked with yellow. It also had huge yellow patches. Oh! It was Stipeera. Normally she doesn't fly at nighttime for fear of running into something, but this night, she was looking for something in particular. Her egg had gone missing and she was worried sick. It had been sitting in her nest and after coming back from hunting, it was gone. Her home was in the Alpines and she fears some human might have taken it. Her mate, Stripigon, went out to look as well. Stipeera is a good mother and if anyone or anything messes with her eggs or hatchlings, they're most often doomed.
