Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Novelty Packaging is quite the stunning individual. When Catscratch, a Frill, ends up with far too much fragrant oil (thanks to the over-enthusiastic humans who study him), he divvies it out to Novelty and his brother, Recycled Paper. Novelty is much stuffier than his brother, refusing to show himself amongst his weyrmates unless he is positively sparkling with health and cleanliness.

His obsession for decoration spills out beyond just the holiday season, and his little patch of territory is quite the remarkable year-round Wonderland, displaying an uncountable amount of wooden carvings and trimmed trees. No dragon whatsoever is allowed near it unless he has properly frosted everything in sight—quite a frustrating problem in the hot summer months, of course.

Despite having an unbreakable bond at heart, Novelty does not necessarily get on well with Recycled, and spends far too much of his time comparing his 'masterpiece' of land to his brother's 'inferior tinkering'.
