Nhiostrife Wyverns are one of the few known breeds of wyvern with more than one set of wings. Because of their four wings, Nhiostrifes are very nimble in the air and control their movements with ease. When it’s mating season, males put on a very beautiful and unique air dance in an attempt to charm a female. The amount of stripes on their wings vary, with more stripes being more attractive, although most have only two to four. Their general attitude is very passive and curious—they only fight if they or their families are in danger.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Once the most skilled flier in his flock, this male's life took an abrupt turn for the worse when a sudden storm slammed him to the ground and claimed much of his upper right wing in the process. Deprived of flight, he soon found himself abandoned by both his mate and his former friends, the countless acts of heroism and self-sacrifice he'd performed on behalf of his clan forgotten in the face of his lameness. Left bitter and spiteful, he took on the name "Adderteeth" in reference to his new style of living, constantly creeping about on the ground and devouring anything that comes within range. His adaption to his new life, however, should not be mistaken as forgetfulness. Hating all that fly, he breeds with only wingless dragons and takes his revenge against all the rest, creeping up trees at night to swallow the eggs of winged breeds whole. But he is planning a far sweeter revenge than that, eyes always fixed on the nests of the traitors he once called kin...
