Spotted Teal Drakes can be found in any locale with trees, from temperate forests to jungles, where their color and markings serve as camouflage. They eat mostly plants and large insects, but are opportunistic hunters and scavengers and will climb trees to find bird eggs. Females can be substantially larger than males. Spotted Teals communicate mainly through chirps and other high-pitched noises, though males can produce lower pitched calls to attract mates.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Tropic is usually cool, calm, and collected. He's rather smooth and handles himself very well. He can, of course, get spooked if the pressure is too high, but, aside from that, he acts as though he has everything under control. Tropic is reasonably intelligent. He's perceptive at the very least, able to notice things others may not. He is capable of picking up on subtle details, both in hunting or battle and social situations. He'll key in on certain shifts in voice, tone, movements, just about everything. And, while he may not always put together what these subtleties mean, his reactions are usually on point. Tropic doesn't prefer to engage with others, not on a personal level anyway. He has an aversion to dependency, not wanting anyone to expect anything of him. If somebody gets close enough to him to ask a favor or expect him to listen to their issues, he leaves, usually disappears for good. The way Tropic sees it, he has enough on his own plate without dealing with everyone else.
