Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

McSneaky is, just as his name implies, sneaky. Or at least he likes to think so. The sad truth of the matter is that the majority of the adult dragons in his clan really just consider him somewhat amusing at the best of times, and downright annoying at the worst of times. He constantly tries to sneak up on the other members of his clan, playing various versions of Ambush, Pounce, and Catch The Tail. His parents are really rather exasperated with him, though they know he cannot really help his silly behavior. He is, after all, just a hatchling.
