Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zorine loves to play chess. She loves to challenge people and other dragons to play her as well. The thing is, she hates to lose. One might call her a bad sport, or--as Autumn puts it--a 'serious chess fanatic with the gumption to take out anyone who proves they are better than she is'.

The Stripe cannot take it when others win, and has this nasty habit of tossing the chess board across a room or at the opposing player. There is also a rumor floating around that once she threatened to rip another dragons arms out of their sockets. Needless to say, most dragons let her win. TD1 finds this whole chess problem absolutely hilarious, and often flies around, shouting "You, there--let the Vookiee win...!"
