Coral Pygmy Wyverns are coastline vagrants, dominant in their ecosystems. They spend most of their time swimming around shallow coral atolls, snacking on the creatures that make their homes there. Don’t be fooled by their small size—these tiny dragons pack a ferocious punch; they can be painful to sharks, dragons, and other substantially larger predators. They are, unsurprisingly, difficult to integrate into human society.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

Elkhorn is just as nasty and aggressive as is expected. He's supremely loud and obnoxious, practically belting every vile thought that enters his head. He takes immense joy in annoying others and is known to turn the tables on anybody who tries to shut him up. Despite his minuscule size, Elkhorn is a vicious and relentless attacker. His weapons of choice are his serrated teeth, which he goes through the effort of sharpening himself. These tiny daggers are sharp enough to easily penetrate and rip through even durable scales. Survivors of these battles will be racked with vicious scars all over their bodies. Though generally quite stupid, Elkhorn does have the capacity to use strategic advantages. He's good about finding an opponent's weak points, usually only based on subtle tells. He has no issue going after sore wounds or weakened limbs. These are the fights that usually last the shortest.
