Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ebonroc may be hard as solid stone on the outside, but inside he is a very soft Dragon. Seemingly not moving most of the time, whilst about the cave he is actually foraging for food to sustain his huge bulk. He doesn't talk much, and allows the young to use him as a climbing frame -- much to the amusement of others. The other clan Members know they can go to him if they have any problems, and he will sort it out in a formal manner and never using his size or strength to intimidate or fight.

He is good friends with Aeonus, and they are often seen together in what appears to be quiet conversation when in truth, it's not so much of the quiet part due to Ebonroc's sense of humor.
