Falconiform Wyverns are normally shy creatures. However, when approached, they often feel threatened, and the flames along their bodies leap higher. Females tend to be smaller than males, though Falconiform Wyverns are typically rather large overall. They use their size to their advantage by hunting smaller dragons. The Falconiform’s graceful, swooping dives are said to resemble birds of prey. Falconiforms are largely solitary dragons that only meet in order to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Flare Sauce, daughter of Crailanioy, was shy during the time she was chosen to be second in command in Sugarfeather's Clan of dragons. Being in such an important position, as second in command, has made Flare Sauce a learned extrovert. Flare Sauce is also a mother, who lives with only two of her children. Her children's names are Late Sauce and Flare Sauce II. Flare Sauce is the daughter of her mate, Ospeherous. Ospeherous is Flare Sauce's only mate, they have had six children together, and the whole family are Falconiform Wyverns.
