Shimmer-scale Dragons are a very beautiful breed with small—but highly reflective—scales that shimmer and shine as the dragon moves through water. They don’t have fins or webbed feet, but their long, eel-like bodies allow them to swim quite fast. They were once rumored to carry large pearls in their claws—causing many to seek them out in search of this fabulous treasure. In reality, the “pearl” is of greater value to the dragon, for the fabled treasure is actually an egg carried by a migrating female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A rather friendly and energetic dragon, CopperSkye has the task of being a dragon who delivers mail throughout the land. He carries the letters and packages in a special bag designed to withstand the water and incredibly tough currents. Skye can sometimes be seen zipping across the waters as he bolts to his next destination. He often gives out a loud shout to the person, dragon, or other creature that a letter or package belongs to, before jumping out of the water and giving the item to them. He often asks people if they need something delivered, but he never asks for payment or anything in return. He often declines such, as he's just doing something he enjoys doing, unless the one giving the item to him is incredibly insistent and not willing to take no for an answer.

Whenever he isn't busy with his usual mail-dragon routines, Skye can be found relaxing, listening to the local musical groups within the area he's currently at, or talking to NiGHTS if he's in the same area.
