Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s kind of shaky on its feet and enjoys playing in puddles.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Wishing Well Wonder was found at the bottom of a wishing well. Someone had abandoned him and the other abandoned hatchlings threw him into the bottom of a well. When a dragon owner walked by to toss some pennies into the well, he heard tiny noises and looked down into the darkness. He was greeted by a tiny water dragon, who was in the corner, very much frightened. The poor hatchling was in such poor condition that his new owner froze him in time, never to get a day older. Although Wisher (his nickname), would have liked to have grown up, he spends his time playing with the other hatchlings and caring for the eggs. He spends his afternoons playing with the other hatchlings, and then in the nighttime will listen to the older dragons and their many adventures out of the cave. He likes to talk to the purple dragon, Purple Palooza.
