Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

One winter's night, in the midst of a heavy snowfall, an Arsani dragon stumbled upon a vast hoard of Christmas eggs. Due to her quick intervention, the entire clutch was saved and reached adulthood. At that point, however, Snowanger silently led all her clutchmates out of the cave. They vanished into a windy snowfall and have never returned. Rumors persist of Snowanger's new squadron traversing the mountains near the territory of Ice and Winter dragons. According to the tales, the Christmas dragons use the arctic weather produced by the other squadrons as a natural camouflage in lieu of perpetual winter snowstorms.

Snowanger is rarely seen by outsiders, though she has been spotted near large cathedrals, adoring the stained-glass windows. She finds the rich colors of light through the artistic glass to be captivating, as it reminds her of dragon wings. She is fond of velvet dresses and leather shoes for similar reasons and will occasionally claim lost shoes left behind in the snow.
