Copper Dragons are masters of stealth, slipping silently and swiftly through the forests and jungles where they live. Often hunting in groups, their prey rarely know they are being stalked until the dragon’s at their throat. In the air they are agile and skilled. Copper Dragons prize family groups, spending large amounts of time teaching their young skills. So great is their love of life and family that they will sometimes adopt orphaned dragons of other breeds to raise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A patient and forgiving beast if ever there was one, no amount of bickering, harassing, or whining has ever managed to rock this dragon's boat--perhaps because he IS the boat. Making his home not in the hearts of the jungle, but on the waters of the open sea, he serves as a ferry for smaller dragons and humans alike, his old age and accordingly massive size allowing him to carry a fair amount of passengers. Performing this service out of kindness and a love of companionship, he charges his charges no fare, a fact that has made his 'business' extremely popular. Having lived this content life for years, few imagine he'll ever change... which will make the events brewing on the horizon all the more shocking. Ever more frequently he turns his attentions south, to word of a massive predatory bird, a pirate of the people, and a young heroic boy, his ancient wings flexing in anticipation as the role he's waited so long to play begins to take form.
