Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Za'thek was the first Vampire Dragon in Riversong's Clan.  Many of the dragons were unsure about bringing a vampire egg into their midst, but Riversong insisted that they keep it.  Sadly, Za'thek bit his chosen egg too hard and cracked it open.  The poor dragon could hardly stand the thought of being a murderer, and was ashamed of himself.  At first, some of the other dragons wanted him to leave, but then they saw how miserable he was, so they changed their minds.  For the next two weeks, Za'thek stayed as far away from the eggs as possible, haunted by the sight of the cracked shell.  He also worked very hard to make up for his mistake, and even brought a geode egg home as an apology.  He never wanted to be seen as a murderer, and hoped that he wouldn't be trapped in a series of unfortunate events.
