Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pazeni spends the vast majority of his day in the forest that surrounds the TBT clan cave. He darts out of the cave the second the sun peeks above the horizon, and he returns to spend time with his fellow dragons only as the last remnants of light leave the earth. He is very sociable, and is known to spend equal amounts of time with each of the TBT dragons, but he has a very close relationship with Wylemm. He can often be seen flying alongside, or rather, to the right and slightly below, Wylemm while he makes his rounds. When not with Wylemm, Pazeni hides in the foliage and studies the human village in the lands near his home. He remains completely unknown to the humans, save one; a little girl found him once, but she was not frightened. Instead, she sat under his wings for a while and stroked his scales. Pazeni hesitantly reached out with his mind, and began speaking to the girl, eventually teaching her to communicate with him telepathically.
