Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
In a vast desert there was a haze clouding the horizon between the sandy dunes and the orange clouds that combined the land and the sky. To the left of the haze there was what appeared to be a small forest, then there was a glimpse of a long, thin dragon racing by, stirring the sand as it ran, almost as if racing something in the wind.
Beautiful stripes, a color that seemed a light metallic blue, ran across the flesh as if blown this way and that by the wind before settling on the scaly brown canvas.
One whip of the beast's tail sent a huge cloud of sand into the dry air, and one beat of its wings to give just enough lift, to soar inches off the ground and land perfectly, without flaw, back on the shifting sand beneath the dragon's feet, and it continued to run. The grace with which the beast ran; the speed and how the movements flowed from one position to another, with one goal, as if racing to the end of the world.
