Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys playing in shallow water.

And look! It has grown fins, and likes to make bubbles in the water. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Xanadu is the oldest of Silenxia's hatchlings, she is the only daughter between her mother and Riley and she is the only one that can't fly. Xanadu is described as being more like her mother and she faintly knows her father well, though she does briefly visit him Xanadu more often prefers her mother's company. Xanadu is caring and doesn't mind her mother's change in mates, she is comfortable with her two little siblings and does what she can to help them grow into strong dragons.
