Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

GoldButton is a scavenger, though he does not scavenge food. He decides to scavenge for gold buttons found in the cave. Since he was a small hatchling he loved exploring the cave and found many interesting things. Huge rocks that fell apart when he jumped on them, clear material that seemed to make bugs grow as you looked at them,  and a small round shiny thing that was his color. This was his favorite and he loved to roll it around and watch it shine in the light from cracks in the cave. Scared that someone would take it he kept going forward until a small opening appeared. it was a tiny hollow space in the cave where he could store them. his collection grew and grew and now is hidden in several hollow spaces. This causes him to be jumpy at the slightest noise, curious, and aggressive when other dragons try to follow him. Many of the dragons know that he has a collection (they don't know what) and decide to let him have a special secret.
