Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

FumsyAlbino is a very sad Albino Dragon. She is depressed because she has gone through a lot of bad things in her life, and that has changed her brain chemistry. Even though it has been more than a hundred years since she escaped from her troubles. As a very young hatchling, FumsyAlbino was kidnapped by a deranged human, no one is sure how he sneaked so close to the cave. But this man stole a hatchling so he could slowly torture it to death. Using dragon blood, this man greatly prolonged his life. He never hurt her enough to kill her, so the decades of torture dragged on. Finally, after almost 80 years, the cruel man died and FumsyAlbino managed to drag herself back to her cave. Even after all those years, she still knew the way home. Her parents were so happy to find her, though she was hardly recognizable as an Albino Dragon at first. Long years of healing at her cave's Clinic gave FumsyAlbino her body and her life back. Now she just recovers from the mental wounds.
