Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A dragon of unknown origin has lurked into the realm of the Pixies. It hides in the deep darkness of the forest and is only seen on moonlit nights. The tiny folk are shy yet cunning. Sensing something amiss, they have avoided the beast. The most trivial, yet most powerful beings in the Vale of the Faeries are the Sylph. Upon finding this strange dragon preying on the unborn hatchlings in the nearby caves, the Sylph took it upon themselves to curse the deathly pale murderer. Put on duty at the entrance is Preatorion, a young but strong Guardian Dragon. He listens and strikes at any suspicious shadow. There is an innate fear in all the land of the blood thirsty renegade. Shunned by all, she is known only as Sylphwroth and has been cast out. She lies in wait, however, watching for the time when the caves would be unguarded...
