Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sky Arts came to the clan as an egg and as he has grown, so has his role and he is know as HOTH (Head Of The Hatchlings) Sky Arts is the guardian in his clan and likes to look after the many hatchlings and eggs that are there each day, helping them mature in to adults like him. He will also help defend the adults who are more vulnerable and has a soft spot for Mint Honey. Sky Arts can be very strict at times, but it's all good as it helps the others respect him and the young ones learn what is right and what is wrong. Sky Arts loves to soar the sky and teach the young ones how to fly. Sky Arts was abandoned as an egg from another clan that couldn't take care of him and when the Coch clans owner found him, she was afraid he wouldn't make it, but with the help of the other clan members, she helped raise him in to a wonderful Guardian Dragon and wouldn't change him for the world.
