Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When warrior was traveling in the desert, she found a small translucent egg. She hatched it and named the small albino baby Glass-scale. Glass-scale is albino because her previous owner wanted to dispose of her mother's extra egg. They set it to die in the desert very early in its development process. In that way, instead of dying, it adapted to the heat by turning translucent. Warrior found it sitting in a pile of sand, half buried by a recent sand storm.

Glass-scale is a beautiful dragon, inside and out. She has a giddy personality and is the joker of the clan. Glass-scale loves to raise children and listen to their squeaky laughs as she tells them jokes and performs her tricks for them. Glass-scale is good friends with Deathwood, and always takes her side in fights. Despite her giddy personality, she is very loyal and will fight to death to protect her clan.
