Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Gaia, despite their large size, are the lightest of all Xenowyrm subspecies. They possess the ability to use incredibly powerful life magic, though most of their efforts are concentrated; to them, nothing is more important than letting plant life thrive. Adult Gaia will use their magic to grow vegetation around themselves so they can spread it wherever they travel.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The head and teacher of all the various gardening dragons within her clan, Lady Meadia is capable of growing almost all kinds of plant species that enter into her care. She often goes out traveling with her attendant dragons in search of new plants, but as she doesn't like to leave the comfort of her garden very frequently, she will send them out on their own to acquire new plant species for her.

One of Meadia's dearest friends, a Royal Blue named Savi, often works with her to build great structures where humans and dragons can dwell... and also plants. Meadia uses a variety of vines and trees to form structures to Savi's cavernous systems and slipshod buildings she constructs. When not busily helping the other dragons of her clan grow or build things, Meadia is often found helping the magicians of her court with their experiments in harnessing her incredible life magic in potions and amulets. Though they don't succeed very often, Meadia greatly enjoys watching and cheering them on.
