Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gray Drizzle is Empress Dark Grizzle's adopted daughter and personal body double. Mystique Dynasty used her magic to make all of their scale highlights and hunting scars exactly the same, and the two already looked alike to begin with. Now with Mystique's enchantment, no dragon would be able to tell the two apart. This is exactly what Dark Grizzle hoped for as she is worried about an assassination attempt. Gray Drizzle feels honored to be Dark Grizzle's protegee and enjoys being entrusted with so much knowledge about the running of Wayside Haven; as a result she is willing to take a risk for her beloved empress. However, since Gray Drizzle only does most of the public appearances the empress cannot attend, she feels that much of the behind-the-scenes deals are not being shared with her. Hopefully these secrets too will come in time, once Dark Grizzle has rooted out her enemies that threaten war.
