When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Sunamisan (Soon-ah-me-sahn) was overall the healthiest and strongest of the hatchlings that came from Pharolux's first raid of the abandoned egg ledge. Perhaps it had something to do with the healing spell Kylati cast on the water intended to be fed to the hatchlings, but which Sunamisan insisted upon splashing around in. For a short time, it seemed he was feeling left out and alone as he was the only one unable to walk and with as sick as the others were, they got more attention from the adults than he. All bitterness was washed away when Zeffis first splashed through the spring of water with him. A fast friendship was formed that lasts to this day. For a time, he looked longingly towards the sky, but found his place and his freedom in the deep lake of the clan's valley home. While frolicking with Zeffis, he leaps powerfully into the sky, sailing the great length of himself through the air before slipping back into the water with hardly a splash- unless he WANTS to splash, of course!
