Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems to bear some semblance to a horse.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This hatchling was forced out of its egg prematurely.

Equine-Pup is a very timid and nervous little hatchling.  She is easily scared by noises and tends to push herself into a corner when other dragons are around.  She has never communicated with other hatchlings before, mainly because she is easily scared by them.  Otherwise, to people she trusts, she is a sweet and quiet little dragon.
