Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. A grim natured male, this dragon comes from a family line that has long prided itself on taking the most elegant pink dragons for mates. Determined to break what he deemed a stupid family tradition, he vowed that he'd take a differently colored mate and thus break the chain of rosy-colored wives. Of course, that was before he met that one incredibly gorgeous pink dragon. Stupid genetics must be working against him.
