Pillow Dragons are covered in enormous amounts of fur affectionately referred to as fluff. Despite their deceivingly large size, they can still fly even with such tiny wings because their bodies are remarkably light. Pillow Dragons have a habit of sleeping for up to eighteen hours a day, waking only in short bursts. During their few waking hours, they take the time to hunt for prey. Once a pillow dragon becomes an adult, its fur grows very slowly. Pillow dragon fur is used to make very expensive and valuable cloth known as “dragon cashmere.”
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
When Pittari was a hatchling, several other young dragons in the family often asked him why he never seemed to have trouble sleeping during the colder nights. It took Pittari a little while to figure out that he always slept well due to his wonderfully soft and thick fur. Pittari always wished he could share that quality with the other hatchlings, especially the smaller ones who would always shiver during the winter. He started to save the clumps of fluff that he would shed naturally every time he groomed himself, and as Pittari grew older, he managed to put together enough fuzzy material to make little blankets for his youngest family members. Now that Pittari is an adult, he sheds less, but the fluffy blankets he's made are well-loved and shared amongst the dragons with newborn hatchlings. It is his hope that no one in the family should ever feel cold while they sleep, and so he hopes to learn how to knit at some point in the future.
