Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Debra Smith wouldn't say that she is haughty, but everybody else among her nestmates would. So she constantly turns her back on dragons when it is inconvenient yet still expects help with even the simplest of tasks, such as preening her scales, but that doesn't mean she thinks she is better than the other dragons. Debra Smith might also talk about having a grand lineage and about how some dragons (like gold ones) are more rare, principled, and perfect than others. Still, all this doesn't mean that arrogant is the right word...Actually, it probably does, and she does feel like she deserves more than the other dragons in the group. They aren't gold dragons from good families though; the distinction she makes is totally reasonable as is the differential privileges she expects. If that makes her haughty, then so be it. Now she has said that Debra Smith is haughty too.
