Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It doesn’t move much, and appears to be covered in stone.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing. However, the wings look too heavy to fly and are filled with beautiful crystal.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
User Description
This hatchling likes perch on high places such as a cliff top or roof. While there, he can bask in sunshine or spot his next meal. He would like to have fun coming down suddenly from on high to surprise passersby, but as he cannot fly, he has discovered it is too painful to do on a regular basis. Instead, he now holds very still, then makes a deliberate move and watches to see their reaction. Sometimes the passersby do not notice him, but most of the time they are quite startled and stare at him, trying to figure out if he really moved or if their mind is just playing tricks on them.
Gaargoyle loves having butterflies land on him, but hates when birds do. Birds eat butterflies and leave a mess behind right on his scales, especially if startled. He chases birds away with snaps of his jaws and flicks of his tails, only connecting if he has to move at them more than once.
Gaargoyle's favorite butterfly has the same iridescent blue on its wings as he does on his.
