Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

High Flier has a surprising name considering his demeanor; High Flier is in fact very low spirited. He spent his entire childhood being bullied and put down by his entire clan because he was a runt. Now he is shy and easily put down. High Flier once bumped into Dancing on the Clouds while hiding from his clan for a time. She for once came down from her cloud and spoke with him. He told her what was going on and she told him that in her cave all dragons were welcome and accepted for being themselves. High Flier was eager to go with her and sneaked away from his clan without looking back. When he came to the cave Elenwen and her dragons happily greeted him and made him welcome. Boonce was soon to become High Flier's friend because she was out of place too; being a balloon dragon she didn't really fit in either.
