Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Soldier's Star is a male Hellfire wyvern with a love of pygmy dragons. Surprising gentle, it's common to see him lying on the ground with dozens of pygmies using him as cushion. A lot of dragons consider Soldier's Star to be more than a little strange, but he doesn't mind. The pygmies adore him as much as he loves them.

  Soldier's Star lives in a little cave at the foot of a volcano called "The Mouth Of Thorn". He has no mate or eggs, but likes hatchlings almost as much as he loves pygmies. When Soldier's Star isn't with the pygmies, he can usually be found catching food for them. Once, a Vampire dragon by the name of Threatening Eye tried to bully a few pygmies into giving him their food. However, when Star Soldier saw this, he displayed a violent side and attacked the Vampire. Threatening Eye bears several nasty scars because of this encounter, and nobody has bullied the pygmies since.

  Soldier's Star is a true hero, using his strength only when it is needed to defend the weak.
