Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Arguably one of the most vocal (so to speak) of the females and the most passionate about participating in the hunt for food for the De clan. Recently it was discovered Defuria had a fairly closeted relationship with the clan leader, Descudo the Guardian, the truth having being revealed by her having a fairly unmistakable blue and silver egg (and more recently, a black egg that has been 'recruited' into the Clan). Fangs are bared to whoever seeks out her private life -- as far as anyone should care, she is the De clan's most fearless fighter and provider, nothing more or less. Also a grandmother, but she's about as willing to admit to that as well as Descudo is, which is to say not at all.
