Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

"Esi" has never once in her life killed anything. She hates blood and flees typically whenever a fellow dragon makes a kill. She most often is fairly solitary, far too busy dreaming to focus on the real.

Esi is not of right mind, to be frank. She was born with something akin to dragon autism and has difficulty moving from place to place. Although, it is never quite clear the extent of it. Sometimes, it almost seems like Esi is faking it; for in some situations, she acts controlled. However, this could be because she does not have the worst kind of autism possible; very minor in fact.

That doesn't disguise the fact that she has the brain of a hatchling in some ways though. She cannot speak clearly to the understanding of other dragons. However, she manages to fare just fine when it comes to feeding herself.

Whatever is exactly wrong with her may be unclear, but what is clear is that she is one special dragon.
