Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Like others of his kind, Fossiliar will sit still for a very long time; however, he does not make an effort to clear an area before sitting, figuring his weight will flatten anything he sits on to a comfortable seat. As a result, when he gets up, he often has the imprint of whatever he was sitting on embedded into that layer of his scales.

Fossiliar's favorite food is slate. As a result, his scales have a smooth, flat finish. Once he sat down close to a settlement of two-legged creatures. Some young two-leggers did not realize he was a dragon instead of a rocky mound and brought chalk and began drawing on his back. When the tickling roused Fossiliar, he gave a great roar. The two-leggers ran off in fright; Fossiliar just snacked on the chalk they had dropped and moved on.
