Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems aggressive and its skin is burning hot.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

An avatar of destruction fathered by a beast of the sea, this devil spends much of her time below the waves, hunting for fish. Innocuous as this behavior appears, she has thus escaped much of the attention of the sailors... yet whenever their eyes turn off her, she turn towards them, watching the stately ships sail by and dreaming of the day he will drag them down into the dark.
